Lake View Village is near beautiful Kootenay Lake, in the historic and exciting mountain city of Nelson, British Columbia.

Nelson has a Level 1 Community Hospital, and is about 40 minutes away from the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital in Trail. The city has good health care services, and is also home to many other health care practitioners, such as massage therapists.
The Village shuttle bus heads out three times per week for shopping, appointments and more. You can also use the city Handy Dart bus and we can help you access that and other transport services when you would like.
We serve delicious and nutritious dinners in the Village, but Nelson itself is known for fine dining, everything from bistro to vegan to world cuisine of many varieties: Thai, Tamil, Mexican, Vietnamese, Moroccan and more. So if you're feeling peckish at lunch time, well, the world is your oyster in Nelson.
Shopping in Nelson is a unique experience. We have chain stores and big boxes, but you'll find so many top-level local stores you'll understand why people from places with even bigger box stores come to Nelson to shop. You shuttle bus will deliver you to shop within the city limits.
Lake View Village is a faith-friendly community. We invite different religious groups to use the amenities in our Village to offer services weekly. You'll also find Nelson has several different spiritual communities for fellowship.
As part of our exciting calendar of events, the Village hosts live entertainment, social events, games, arts programming and more. Hop aboard your Village shuttle bus and explore local arts and culture at the Capitol Theatre, arts galleries, beaches, parks and more. Join excursions to surrounding communities to visit venues such as Chances Casino in Castlegar.
Nelson's very own Kootenay Co-op will deliver your grocery order if you'd rather not deal with bags and bundles. Nelson also has chain grocery stores and other local grocers, bakeries, chocolatiers, coffee roasters and delis. Delicious!
Your Village is within walking distance of Nelson's lovely, historic Lake Side Park. Enjoy "people watching" there and grab a burger for lunch. The Nelson Senior Centre is right downtown, and offers activities from knitting to tai chi. The Nelson & District Community Aquatic Centre has a great water aerobics classes and more. And, of course, Nelson's Touchstones Museum of Art and History has interesting exhibits all year round.
